“Medikal’s O2 Arena Concert was funded by me” – OK Frimpong

Ghanaian businessman and independent parliamentary candidate for Asante Akyem North, Ohene Kwame Frimpong, known as OK Frimpong, has opened up about his crucial role in the successful staging of Medikal’s concert in the United Kingdom.

In an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM, Frimpong emphasized that he was the primary supporter behind Medikal’s performance at the Indigo in the O2 Arena. He shared insights about his close ties with both Medikal and Shatta Wale, stating, “I have a very, very good relationship with my brother MDK and Shatta Wale. We talked about the event, agreed on the plan, and put together a great concert through OK Frimpong May Day Entertainment. Everyone saw how successful it was when MDK performed at the O2 Indigo.”

Expressing his pride in the concert’s outcome, Frimpong remarked, “It was a top-notch event, sold out.”

Frimpong likened his impact to that of “salt,” noting that every endeavor he undertakes ends in success. Prior to Medikal’s concert, he had also contributed to the organization of another successful event in the UK, which showcased performances by Amakye Dede, Kuami Eugene, and other notable artists.
