Mr. John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has committed to prioritizing the rehabilitation of the road network in the Kpone-Katamanso constituency should he be elected in the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking at a mini rally held at the Kpone Methodist Park during his Greater Accra regional tour, Mr. Mahama emphasized the urgent need for improved road conditions in the area, which he noted is home to numerous industries and companies.
“Kpone-Katamanso has some of the worst road conditions in the region despite having many companies that boost the economy. If given the mandate, fixing the roads here will be a priority for my government,” he stated.
Before the rally, Mahama visited the Kpone Traditional Council, where he engaged with traditional leaders to discuss pressing issues within the community. He underscored the significance of Kpone-Katamanso, not only as an industrial hub but also as a vital contributor to the region’s economic growth.
Mr. Mahama argued that enhancing the road infrastructure is crucial for facilitating business operations and improving the quality of life for residents. “Good roads are crucial for economic activities, and we cannot allow an industrial area like Kpone-Katamanso to remain in such a state,” he emphasized.
