Highlife musician Kwabena Kwabena has opened up about his past challenges, comparing them to the struggles faced by comedian Funny Face. During an appearance on Adom TV’s “Showtym,” hosted by Sallyman Frimpong, the singer shared insights into his turbulent journey and the personal growth that followed.
In addressing rumors surrounding his previous relationships and personal life, Kwabena Kwabena revealed that he faced significant hardships, coming perilously close to a breakdown akin to that experienced by Funny Face. “I wasn’t any far from what happened to my brother Funny Face,” he said, reflecting on the emotional toll those times took on him.
The artist expressed deep empathy for the comedian, who has been candid about his mental health battles. “Whenever I see the brother, I cry. Because when I close my eyes and reflect, I know… We should remember him in prayers,” he stated.
Despite the hardships, Kwabena Kwabena credited these trying experiences with shaping him into a stronger individual. He emphasized that they played a crucial role in his growth, teaching him to identify the right people to surround himself with and to appreciate those who genuinely support him.
“There is always hope… I needed that experience for growth. It’s made me a better person and it’s made me realize the right persons to relate to and appreciate the right people around me,” he concluded.
