Police Offer GH₵20,000 Reward for Capturing Suspect of NPP-NDC Violence

The Ghana Police Service is intensifying its search for Fatau Motorway, a suspect linked to violent clashes between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Mamobi, Accra, on October 13, 2024.

Motorway, who was reportedly captured on video brandishing a weapon during the altercation, remains at large. In a public statement, the Police urged citizens to assist in their efforts by providing any information that may lead to his arrest.

To incentivize public cooperation, the Police have announced a reward of GH₵20,000 for credible tips that result in his capture. They also emphasized that those who come forward will be assured of confidentiality and protection.

This initiative is part of a larger strategy to hold accountable those involved in the violence and to promote a peaceful political environment as the elections approach.
