The Chairman of the Western Regional Peace Council, Bishop Emmanuel Botwey, has urged political commentators to avoid making broad, unverified accusations against their opponents.
He emphasized the need for Ghanaians, especially politicians, to foster a culture of peace and actively work toward ensuring peaceful elections.
Bishop Botwey made these remarks at a Gospel Peace Concert held in Takoradi, aimed at promoting harmony ahead of the December 7 general election.
The event was organized by the Hope Mind Foundation as part of its nationwide “Sing for Peace, Free and Fair Elections” campaign.
The initiative gathered a wide range of stakeholders, including religious leaders, politicians, and traditional figures from the Western Region.
Notable gospel artists such as Uncle Ato, Joyce Blessing, and Efua Black also participated in the event.
Additionally, Bishop Botwey, who is the Presiding Bishop of Christian Faith Church International in Takoradi, called on security services to exercise restraint during the electoral process.
