The highly anticipated first trailer for Vengeance Most Fowl, the long-awaited return of Wallace and Gromit to the small screen, has been unveiled. This marks the duo’s first full-length feature film in 19 years, bringing back the beloved inventor and his canine companion to face off against their arch-nemesis, the devious penguin Feathers McGraw.
The new trailer provides fans with an exciting preview of the adventure, highlighting how Wallace and his pre-programmed smart gnome, Norbot, become the prime suspects in a recent crime spree involving stolen garden goods throughout the region.
Vengeance Most Fowl is set to premiere on BBC One and BBC iPlayer during the Christmas season, with plans for its release on Netflix for international audiences shortly thereafter.
Created by Aardman Animations and directed by Nick Park, the mastermind behind Wallace and Gromit as well as Shaun the Sheep, the film promises to deliver thrilling escapades as Gromit confronts new sinister forces while Wallace defends his innocence.
After serving time behind bars, the villainous McGraw is back with a desire for revenge. This new adventure marks the first time Wallace and Gromit have faced McGraw since the acclaimed 1993 Oscar-winning short The Wrong Trousers and follows their last appearance in the 2008 short film A Matter of Loaf and Death.
Ben Whitehead will reprise his role as the voice of Wallace, the quirky, cheese-loving inventor from northern England, while Peter Kay returns as Chief Inspector Mackintosh. The film also features notable cameos from actors including Diane Morgan from Motherland, Adjoa Andoh from Bridgerton, and Sir Lenny Henry.
Vengeance Most Fowl will be the second feature-length installment in the franchise, following The Curse of the Were-Rabbit released in 2005. The film, running for 70 minutes, will be available to international audiences on Netflix starting January 3, 2025.
