- Corrections to voter information accepted exclusively during October 15-19 period.
Ghana’s Electoral Commission (EC) has launched an online platform for voters to verify their details. The platform, which went live on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, allows voters to check their information on the provisional register ahead of the 2024 General Elections.
This digital exhibition will run until Saturday, October 19, 2024, providing voters with a five-day window to verify their registration.
To access the online exhibition, voters can use the free shortcode *71151# or visit the EC’s official website. Once on the platform, voters can verify their registration information by entering their 10-digit Voter ID.
Any discrepancies found can be reported to the District Office where voters are registered. However, corrections can only be made during this exhibition period.
The EC emphasizes that while online verification will be possible after the exhibition period ends, corrections will no longer be available.
This initiative is part of the Commission’s broader efforts to ensure an accurate and clean voter roll ahead of the final compilation for the elections. By verifying their details, voters can ensure their eligibility to participate in the upcoming elections.
