Ghanaian actor Kwaku Manu has shared insights into his past marriage with Naa Okailey Nyarko, discussing their divorce and her recent remarriage to a white man in the United States.
In an appearance on UTV’s United Showbiz on October 12, 2024, Kwaku Manu addressed the topic candidly, revealing that he did not feel heartbroken upon learning of his ex-wife’s new relationship. He remarked, “Some of us understand life in the sense that we can start life with someone and not end with them. As for the divorce, I did not get married to divorce, but it is part of life.”
Kwaku Manu clarified that he was the one who initiated the divorce, stating, “In life, if you have courage and wisdom, you will not allow marriage to end your life. So many people have run mad because of love. Others have also passed on, but I did not want either of such unfortunate incidents to happen to me.”
While he expressed respect for Naa Okailey and love for their children, he admitted that their relationship is not close, adding, “It was unfortunate the marriage had to end, and she is not my friend.” He confirmed that Naa Okailey has indeed remarried, which has drawn attention online.
