A well-known TikTok celebrity, Odesanmi Opeyemi, popularly known as Oloba Salo, was shot by an unidentified gunman in the Lekki area of Lagos State on Thursday, October 10.
The incident occurred while Salo was driving his white SUV near Tantalizer Junction in Lekki. Eyewitness accounts and a viral video depict the chaotic aftermath of the shooting, with one voice stating, “This is Salo’s car you can see it yourself. You think it is a joke. This is his blood here.” The footage reveals the content creator’s vehicle, with two bullet casings visible on the driver’s seat alongside bloodstains.
According to passersby, the assailant, who allegedly posed as a beggar, approached Salo’s vehicle and opened fire when he rolled down his window.
The Lagos State police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the shooting and stated that Salo is currently receiving medical attention. He also noted that an investigation into the incident has been initiated.
