Gospel artiste Perez Musik has shared a poignant story of how a painful heartbreak transformed his life and led him to serve the Lord.
In an intimate conversation with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, Perez Musik recounted how his journey to salvation began.
“The truth is [that] it started with a heartbreak,” he confessed. “At that point, it was very painful. I’ve never told the story before, but I will say it without mentioning names.”
Perez Musik narrated how a colleague in the industry had pursued his then-girlfriend, leading to a shocking discovery.
“Somebody in the industry was hitting on my girlfriend back then. I brought my girlfriend to visit me in the office, when I turned, he took the lady’s number. The next time they were talking. And this was somebody that was my ‘buddy buddy.’ That’s why I don’t really make friends,” he revealed.
The final straw came when Perez Musik discovered his girlfriend’s display photo on his friend’s phone.
“I opened and said ‘yo’. I just gave the phone back to him and went home. I didn’t say anything to him. I just left and I went home,” he added.
Since his conversion, Perez Musik has found solace in serving the Lord, reveling in the peace and joy that comes with his faith.
This transformation has also propelled his music career, earning him notable accolades, including Songwriter of the Year and Best Male Vocal Performance at the 24th Ghana Music Awards.
