Jackie Appiah Earns AMAA Nomination for Best Actress

The Africa Film Academy, producers of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), has unveiled the eagerly awaited nominations for its upcoming 20th edition. Ghanaian actress Jackie Appiah has received a nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in the film “Red Carpet.”

The announcement was made during the launch event for the 20th edition, held on Wednesday, October 2, in Ikeja, Nigeria. Jackie will be competing against notable actresses Girley Jazama, Oyin Oladejo, Unati Faku, Uzoamaka Aniunoh, Laura Pepple, and Ife Irele.

Dignitaries present at the event included Mr. Tony Anih, Chief Operating Officer of AMAA, and Mr. Kingsley James, producer of the AMAA gala night. Themed “Celebrating African Creativity,” this milestone event is set to be a grand celebration of excellence in African filmmaking.
