Nana Agradaa, leader of Heaven Way Ministries International, has cautioned fellow clergyman Rev. Owusu Bempah regarding his prayers for National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Dramani Mahama.
In an Instagram live session, Nana Agradaa stated that Mahama is already considered a strong contender for the 2024 general elections, making prayers unnecessary. She suggested that if Mahama fails to win, Rev. Owusu Bempah could be blamed for disrupting Mahama’s campaign plans.
“I love Mahama; I am just not into politics. We all know that the man is likely to win the 2024 elections; even the number 8 shows that he has a chance. But for Rev. Owusu Bempah to lay his hands on Mahama, if things don’t go right, he will be dealt with because we will blame him for destroying our plans,” Nana Agradaa said in Twi.
This warning follows Rev. Owusu Bempah’s prayer for Mahama during the NDC’s meeting with clergy members on October 1, 2024. Owusu Bempah stated that God would favor Mahama due to his kind heart and grant him victory in the 2024 elections.
The prayer sparked controversy on social media, with many questioning Rev. Owusu Bempah’s motives given his affiliation with the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Nana Agradaa appreciated that Mahama did not attend Owusu Bempah’s church directly.
