The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has selected top Mauritian official Patrice Milazar to referee the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier between Ghana and Sudan.

The match will take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, October 11, 2024, with a kickoff time of 16:00 GMT.

Milazar, 38, will be assisted by Souru Phatsoane from Lesotho and Jean Marc Jeff Pithia from Mauritius. Ganesh Chutooree, also from Mauritius, will serve as the Fourth Referee.

Sekou Wieh Konneh from Liberia has been appointed as the Match Commissioner, while Bechir Hassani from Tunisia will act as the Referee Assessor. Okey Sylvanus Sylvanus Obi from Nigeria will oversee security for the match.

This crucial matchday 3 fixture holds significant importance for both teams as they strive to improve their positions in the qualifiers.

Ghana, with only one point from their first two matches, is under pressure to secure a victory on home soil against Sudan, a team managed by former Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah.
