“Blame Akufo-Addo if Bawumia Loses” – Vim Lady

Afia Pokua, widely known as Vim Lady, has stated that if Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, loses the upcoming election on December 7, 2024, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo should bear the responsibility.

During her political program, Vim Lady acknowledged that Dr. Bawumia has been running an effective campaign leading up to the elections. However, she emphasized that the President’s shortcomings continue to adversely affect Bawumia’s efforts.

“Bawumia has been holding very clean campaigns but Nana Addo has become an enemy to the campaigns,” she said. Vim Lady specifically pointed to Akufo-Addo’s failure to address the galamsey issue, asserting that it has tarnished Bawumia’s campaign image.

“If Bawumia loses this year’s elections, blame Akufo-Addo. First, Nana Addo failed to fight galamsey after promising. You failed for not fulfilling the contract you had with Ghanaians, and you are the reason Bawumia’s work during this campaign season has become difficult for him,” she asserted.
