A recent poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics shows John Dramani Mahama (JDM) leading with 51.1% of committed voters.
Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia (DMB) trails behind with 37.3%, while independent candidates Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten (AKK) and Nana Kwame Bediako (NKB) secure 4.1% and 6.2%, respectively.
Other candidates hold 1.3%. Under the unweighted likely voters’ model, Mahama leads with 49.3% compared to Bawumia’s 35.9%.
Voter apathy poses a significant challenge for the NPP, with 16% of potential non-voters identified as NPP supporters.
In contrast, only 3% of NDC supporters are potential non-voters. Mahama holds a substantial lead among floating voters (54% to 23%) and those who declined to disclose party affiliations.
Mahama has gained ground among first-time voters, leading Bawumia 46% to 38%. Bawumia faces declining support among Muslim voters, a crucial demographic.
The poll reveals shifts among 2020 President Nana Akufo-Addo supporters, with 19% switching to Mahama. Mahama leads in 12 regions, including Greater Accra, Central, and Western regions.
