Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has expressed his support for both the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), emphasizing the importance of national development over partisan politics.
He urged both parties to conduct clean campaigns and focus on policies that would benefit Ghana.
During a visit from the NDC’s Vice-Presidential candidate, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, the Asantehene questioned why the party had delayed introducing her to him.
He urged Prof. Opoku-Agyemang to support John Dramani Mahama in his bid for the presidency, expressing his belief in her abilities.
Otumfuo emphasized the need for a leader who prioritizes the welfare of Ghanaians.
He called on both parties to engage in clean campaigns and propose policies that would drive the country’s development.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang sought the Asantehene’s blessings and guidance ahead of the elections.
She expressed her readiness to support John Dramani Mahama and apologized for the delay in introducing herself.
