Ghanaian dancehall icon Samini has expressed his frustration with a fan who attempted to ignite controversy during a recent live social media session. The fan queried Samini about his thoughts on the performance of Shatta Wale’s SAFA album in comparison to Stonebwoy’s popular track “Jejereje.”
During the live session, fans flooded the comment section with inquiries related to his former protégé, Stonebwoy. Samini, visibly irritated by the provocation, did not hesitate to respond, asserting that he perceives the question as a deliberate trap designed to ensnare him in controversy.
“I don’t believe Shatta Wale’s album has flopped,” Samini stated firmly, before instructing the fan to redirect their question elsewhere. He further emphasized that he is concentrating on his own career and refuses to engage in divisive comparisons.
“Why are you interested in my opinion? You’re setting a trap for me to be dragged. My opinion is that you don’t have sense to even compare in the first place. You can’t ask that one-on-one; you hide behind social media to instigate things,” he added.
Samini concluded by challenging fans to approach him directly if they genuinely sought his opinion, reinforcing his commitment to focusing on his own artistic journey rather than engaging in public spats.
