NAPO Urges Ashanti Voters: Don’t Waste Your Vote on NDC

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Vice Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has issued a stern warning to voters in the Ashanti Region, urging them to refrain from casting their ballots for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming December polls

Prempeh, affectionately known as ‘Napo’, emphasized that the NDC lacks a genuine commitment to the region’s development, rendering any vote for the party essentially worthless.

Speaking at a rally in Tweapeasi, Prempeh pointed out the NDC’s history of neglecting the Ashanti Region’s needs despite receiving significant votes from the area in past elections.

He expressed disappointment and surprise at the NDC’s discriminatory attitude, citing examples of harmful policies introduced by the NDC to punish the region’s people.

Specifically, Prempeh mentioned the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) capitation introduced by the NDC, which created hardship for innocent people in the Ashanti Region.

Prempeh’s sentiments were echoed in his recent address at the Ashanti Regional ‘Campaign Working Committees & Women’s Conference’, where he reiterated the NPP’s commitment to the region’s development.

He highlighted the Akufo-Addo-led administration’s impressive track record, including the construction of 111 hospitals and numerous schools and universities.

The NPP has set an ambitious target of securing 85% of votes in the Ashanti Region, with Prempeh emphasizing that the party’s achievements under Akufo-Addo would pave the way for Dr. Bawumia’s victory in December.

With the party’s strong foundation in the region, Prempeh is confident that voters will choose the NPP over the NDC, which he believes has consistently demonstrated a lack of interest in the region’s progress.
