Kofi Akpaloo, leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), unveiled his 2024 manifesto and running mate, Elizabeth Sam, in Ho on September 21. Akpaloo promised that, if elected president, his government would provide GH₵500 monthly child benefits and GH₵700 unemployment benefits from the central government’s coffers.
All Ghanaian children under 18 would receive the child benefit, while those above 18 and unemployed would get the unemployment benefit. Akpaloo also pledged a $10 billion fund to support young entrepreneurs.
Elizabeth Sam, the running mate, emphasized the LPG’s commitment to being a listening government, leading with integrity and compassion. She vowed to work tirelessly for justice, equality, and opportunities for all.
