Rejecting Ethnocentrism: APC Champions the Legacy of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II

The Asante Professionals Club (APC) has voiced strong disapproval of the rising ethnocentric attacks directed at the Asante people and their leader, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

They label these assaults as unjust and detrimental to the nation’s unity and mutual respect.

In a statement by acting secretary Emmanuel Owusu Ansah, the APC reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the dignity and heritage of the Asante community, advocating for solidarity and cultural pride.

They emphasized the significance of Asanteman’s governance structure, which is rooted in respect for customs and traditions, and firmly rejected any form of ethnocentrism or disrespect towards their traditional authorities.

The statement highlighted Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s reign as one of inclusivity, respect, and progress, noting that his legacy is intricately linked to the promotion of national unity.

His efforts to foster peace and development have earned him admiration both in Ghana and worldwide.

“Asante Professionals Club members reaffirm our steadfast loyalty to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. We call on all peace-loving Ghanaians to reject divisive or ethnocentric narratives that threaten our societal harmony.
