Ghanaian media personality Bridget Otoo has weighed in on comments made by highlife legend Ofori Amponsah about Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
At the recent ‘Boys Boys’ gathering organized by Sammi Awuku in Accra, Ofori Amponsah urged the youth to cast their votes in favor of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Bawumia. “Vote for Dr. Bawumia. If you don’t make him Ghana’s next President, you’ll be missing out on a lot. He represents the future,” Ofori Amponsah said. He expressed optimism about Bawumia’s chances, adding, “It is possible that Dr. Bawumia will win.”
Bridget Otoo, known for her candid views on current affairs, responded to Ofori Amponsah’s comments on Pulse Ghana’s X page. She wrote, “The only hit lyrics left is in Bawumia’s pocket. Don’t take him seriously.”
Meanwhile, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is actively campaigning in the Greater Accra Region as part of his efforts leading up to the 2024 general elections. During a recent campaign stop in the Okakoi South Constituency, Dr. Bawumia took an unexpected turn by boarding a trotro, a popular public transport vehicle in Ghana. This gesture aimed to connect directly with citizens and address their daily challenges, while also promoting his ‘bold solutions’ agenda.
