- Mahama vows to upgrade Zongo infrastructure.
- Focus on education and healthcare improvements.
- More Islamic schools and health centers promised.
- Initiatives outlined in NDC's manifesto.
John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has made a commitment to enhance infrastructure in Zongo communities across the country.
During a campaign tour in Sunyani, Bono Region, Mahama addressed members of the Zongo community, highlighting the need for improved access to quality education and healthcare facilities.
Mahama noted that many schools are located far from Zongo communities, making it difficult for residents to access quality education.
Additionally, he pointed out that Islamic schools are scarce in these communities, further exacerbating the education gap.
To address these challenges, Mahama promised to build more Islamic secondary schools in Zongo communities.
He also pledged to establish new health centers and clinics in these areas to improve healthcare delivery.
According to Mahama, these initiatives are outlined in the NDC’s manifesto, demonstrating the party’s commitment to uplifting marginalized communities.
He emphasized that the NDC is dedicated to addressing the unique challenges faced by Zongo communities.
Mahama’s promises were met with enthusiasm from the Zongo community members, who expressed their gratitude for the NDC’s commitment to their development.
By enhancing infrastructure in Zongo communities, Mahama aims to promote inclusive development and equal opportunities for all Ghanaians.
