Veteran Ghanaian actress, Grace Omaboe, better known as Maame Dokono, marked her 80th birthday with a grand celebration.

The star-studded event was held to commemorate this significant milestone and featured the launch of her new book, “Unforgettable Maame Dokono.”

Despite turning 80 in June, Maame Dokono decided to delay the celebration to ensure a more memorable experience.

The party was attended by a host of celebrities, dignitaries, and friends, who came together to honor her illustrious career and contribution to the entertainment industry.

Dressed in a stunning blue gown and minimal makeup, Maame Dokono radiated joy and gratitude. She interacted with her former colleagues, traditional leaders, and other notable figures, creating a warm and festive atmosphere.

Joining her to cut the celebratory cake were David Dontoh, a longtime friend and collaborator, Koku Anyidoho, and members of royalty.

Other notable guests included Nana Ama McBrown, Prophet Kofi Oduro, Adwoa Smart, Fred Amugi, Christine Doe Tetteh, Abeiku Santana, and comedian DKB, who served as the host of the event.

Maame Dokono is a household name in Ghana with over five decades of acting experience.

She is best known for her storytelling television program, “By the Fireside,” and her involvement with the Obra Drama Group and the African drama television series, Akan Drama.

In addition to her acting career, Maame Dokono has released three music albums and continues to be active in the entertainment industry.

She hosts radio and talk shows and uses her platform to address socio-economic issues in Ghana.
