Mahama Urges NDC Supporters in Techiman South to Avoid ‘Skirt and Blouse’ Voting

John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on his supporters to refrain from ‘skirt and blouse’ voting in the upcoming December elections.

He highlighted the crucial need for voters to choose both the NDC’s presidential and parliamentary candidates to form a cohesive government.

Speaking at a rally in Twimia Nkwanta in the Bono East Region, Mahama underscored that electing NDC candidates for both positions is vital for achieving a parliamentary majority and advancing the party’s development goals.

Mahama reflected on the party’s past electoral defeat, attributing it to internal disunity, and urged supporters to back both him and the NDC’s parliamentary candidates.

“Our previous loss was due to disunity,” he said. “I’ve heard some of you plan to vote ‘skirt and blouse.’ I urge you to vote for both the parliamentary candidate and myself. Techiman South needs development.”
