The Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP) has elected Dr. Daniel Augustus Lartey Jnr. as its Flagbearer for the 2024 General Election.

Dr. Lartey, a certified stockbroker in the United Kingdom, was confirmed at the Party’s National Congress in Accra on Thursday, September 5, 2024.

He is the son of the late Daniel Lartey, Founder of the GCPP, and has vowed to continue his father’s legacy. The GCPP also elected national officers to steer the affairs of the Party for the next four years.

The officers include Dr. Henry Herbert Lartey as Chairman, Theodore Buatsi as First Vice-Chairman, and Cynthia Atta as Second Vice Chairman.

Citizen Ato Dadzie was elected as Secretary, George Amoah as National Organiser, and Nora Gyempeh as National Women Organiser.

Other elected officers include Jude Balma as National Youth Organiser, Kaiser Ablorh as National Treasurer, and Alhassan Issahaku as National Education Secretary.

Dr. Lartey Jnr. outlined his vision for a GCPP Government, prioritizing agriculture and technology as foundational pillars to transform the country.

He promised comprehensive agricultural reforms and support for technology start-ups to empower the youth and promote digital literacy.

The GCPP urged the Electoral Commission to ensure free, fair, and transparent elections and rallied its members to unite and build a formidable party for the 2024 General Election.
