Ghanaian stand-up comedian Lekzy DeComic has officially named Jacinta Ocansey as the supporting act for his highly anticipated comedy special, “The New False.” The event, set to take place on September 28, 2024, at the UPSA Auditorium in Accra, will feature Ocansey alongside Lekzy in a performance intended to be one of the most memorable in Ghana’s comedy history.
“The New False” is a comedic take on the political movement The New Force, led by business magnate Nana Kwame Bediako. Emulating the dramatic reveal of Bediako as a presidential aspirant, Lekzy DeComic created a buzz with masked promotional images around town, sparking speculation about potential political undertones.
According to Lekzy, the show aims to lighten the current political climate with humor while addressing some of the pressing concerns of Ghanaian citizens. “The New False” promises not only to entertain but also to engage audiences with insightful commentary delivered in a witty and non-provocative manner.
Lekzy DeComic, known for his previous successful comedy specials such as “Too Cute to be Mute 1k,” “Too Cute to be Mute (Amplified Edition),” and “CanPAIN MESSage,” has captivated audiences both locally and internationally. His performance credits include high-profile events such as Laughline Comedy Show, Easter Comedy Show, Comedy Fiesta, and international venues like the Bloemfontein International Comedy Festival and Go Bananas Comedy Club in the USA.
In recognition of his talent, Lekzy won the Best Comedy Special award at the 2024 Ghana Comedy Awards for “CanPAIN MESSage.”
