Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for the Awutu Senya East Constituency, has adopted a distinctive strategy to engage with voters in her campaign.
In an effort to connect more intimately with her constituents, Okunor took on the role of a washing bay attendant during a recent campaign event. A video of the event has captured her actively involved in washing cars, mingling with workers, and interacting with local residents.
This unconventional approach is part of Okunor’s campaign strategy to bridge the gap between politicians and the daily lives of the people she aspires to represent.
The timing of her initiative coincides with a similar effort by her main rival, the incumbent MP Mavis Hawa Koomson, who was recently seen selling watermelons in a public market as part of her own campaign activities.
