Joyce Blessing Credits NAM 1’s GHS 10,000 Gift as a Major Career Milestone

Story Highlights
  • Joyce Blessing receives GHS 10,000 from NAM 1 for her dedication
  • Impressive performance at bank event leads to surprise gift
  • Kindness from fans helps artists succeed, says Joyce Blessing

Gospel singer Joyce Blessing has opened up about the most significant gift she has ever received in her career, which came from Nana Appiah Mensah, widely known as NAM 1.

In an exclusive interview with Accra FM, Blessing recounted a memorable encounter with The Zylofon Media boss during a bank event. Despite technical difficulties with the event’s equipment, Joyce Blessing took the initiative to ensure the show’s success, a gesture that did not go unnoticed by NAM 1.

“First time he met me was at a program for a bank,” Joyce Blessing shared. “They did not bring the equipment; they thought calling an artiste for a gig includes us showing up with instruments and backups to perform. Our job was just to show up and perform using their setup. They hadn’t set anything up when we arrived, so I had to sacrifice myself for the bank. Apparently, he was really satisfied with my effort.”

Impressed by her dedication, NAM 1 later gifted Joyce Blessing GHS 10,000, a substantial amount at that stage in her career. This gesture of generosity has remained one of the most cherished moments of Blessing’s professional journey.

Joyce Blessing discussed this heartfelt gift while reflecting on the often-overlooked acts of kindness that sustain artists. She noted that although the music industry might not always provide financial stability, such acts of generosity from fans, loved ones, and even strangers are crucial.

She also highlighted that she has received gifts from various individuals who appreciate her music, including market vendors.

“This gift from NAM 1 was truly a game-changer for me,” Blessing emphasized. “It’s moments like these that remind us of the support and appreciation we receive from people who value our work.”
