Pastor Love Curses Obaapa Christy Over Denial of His Songwriting Contributions

Pastor Love, the former husband of acclaimed gospel singer Obaapa Christy, has issued a strong rebuttal to her recent remarks dismissing his involvement in writing her hit songs.

In a recent interview with Kingdom FM, Obaapa Christy refuted suggestions that Pastor Love played a role in composing her successful tracks. She argued that neither she nor Pastor Love had the academic qualifications necessary to write such music. “Just like myself, Pastor Love is not academically sound, so it’s a lie that he was my songwriter,” she asserted.

Pastor Love, who has been closely following the unfolding narrative, responded with vehement criticism. In a video that has gone viral online, he denied Obaapa Christy’s claims and launched a series of accusations against her. “Have you ever written a song before?” he asked rhetorically. “I’ll keep insulting you for a whole month; if I’m not tired, I’ll continue. Village woman, unserious woman. You’re a curse. All these people who call themselves gospel musicians. Do you even live out the messages in your songs?” Pastor Love said.

Further intensifying the conflict, Pastor Love accused Obaapa Christy of exploiting him for publicity and issued a curse, stating, “Anytime you sing any of the songs I’ve written for you, you’ll die an instant death.”

The tumultuous history between Pastor Love Kweku Hammond and Obaapa Christy dates back to their marriage, which began in 2003. The couple, who had three children together, saw their relationship deteriorate in the late 2000s. Their highly publicized divorce was finalized in 2011 and was marked by serious allegations from both sides. Pastor Love accused Obaapa Christy of infidelity, while she countered with claims of physical and emotional abuse.

The aftermath of their divorce was marked by legal battles and media disputes. Despite their separation, both individuals have continued their careers, with Obaapa Christy finding success in gospel music and Pastor Love maintaining a vocal presence regarding their past relationship, keeping their conflicts in the public eye.
