The 2024 edition of the Miss Malaika beauty pageant made its official debut on Sunday, September 1, 2024. The highly anticipated premiere showcased the first episode of this season’s competition, which aired on Joy Prime.

From a pool of hundreds of applicants, thirty exceptional female contestants have been selected to advance to the transformational stage of the contest. This initial episode provided a platform for the delegates to display their diverse talents and capabilities.

The judges Naa-Oyoe, Hamamat, and Sharon expressed their satisfaction with the contestants’ performances. Each judge shared their impressions of the evening’s events.

Naa-Oyoe remarked, “I always do have high expectations for Miss Malaika Ghana because we do really get a good crop, and I wasn’t disappointed at all. I was very impressed.”

Hamamat emphasized the importance of authenticity, noting, “It’s always authenticity, and you could see a lot of the ladies have it in them. There’s that glow waiting to pop up. So, it’s exciting to see.”

Judge Sharon focused on the purpose-driven nature of the contestants, stating, “I was looking for ladies that were purpose-driven, and I’m happy to say that I found that on the show. Particularly, a lot of ladies were trying to change the narrative, dominating the male-driven world. I’m happy to see that a lot of them did.”

The judges’ feedback indicates that the thirty delegates are well-prepared for the competition ahead. However, they anticipate increased innovation and enthusiasm as the contestants progress to the transformational stage, where the number of participants will be narrowed down to sixteen.

The Miss Malaika pageant is organized by Charterhouse Productions and will continue for thirteen weeks. Episodes will be broadcast live on Joy Prime and streamed on Facebook every Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Regina Van Helvert will host the series, which promises a blend of excitement, emotion, education, and entertainment as the journey unfolds.
