“Taste It Before You Marry” – Brother Sammy Advocates for Pre-Marital Sex
- Brother Sammy recommends pre-marital sex to ensure compatibility
- He faces backlash for his views, but defends them as honest advice
- The gospel musician also suggests prioritizing children over marriage
Ghanaian Gospel musician Brother Sammy has ignited controversy by suggesting that couples should engage in sexual activity before marriage to avoid potential surprises. His comments, made during an interview with Abeiku Santana, advocate for partners to fully understand each other’s sexual compatibility before committing to a long-term relationship.
“You have to try it; you have to taste it! You need to experience what you’re going to be entangled with for the rest of your life,” Brother Sammy stated, emphasizing the importance of pre-marital sexual experience.
Abeiku Santana, visibly shocked by Brother Sammy’s advice, expressed his disappointment, saying, “I am so upset and disappointed that a gospel artiste would say this.”
In defense of his controversial position, Brother Sammy responded, “You don’t want the truth.” He further addressed concerns about the appropriateness of his views for a gospel musician filled with the Holy Spirit, stating, “No matter how filled I am with the Holy Spirit, I still live in the real, practical world. I will come back to the physical and face life.”
Additionally, Brother Sammy expressed his views on childbirth versus marriage. He suggested that having children might be a preferable option, stating, “I will advise the youth to opt for childbirth instead of marriage. Unlike marriage, the benefits of having kids are endless. Your children are not likely to abandon you someday, but your partner might.”
