“I’ve Never Kissed or Had Sex, I’m Still a Virgin” – Kweku Darlington

Kweku Darlington, the Kumasi-based musician, has revealed that he is a virgin, stating that he has never kissed or engaged in sexual intercourse. In a recent interview on Joy Prime’s morning show, Darlington elaborated on his commitment to his music career, which he claims is his primary mission on earth.

During the interview, Darlington, who was discussing his new single “Grateful to Your Ex,” explained that the song’s content does not stem from personal experience, as he has never been in a romantic relationship. “I’ve not even dated before. I think I’m the only virgin left in Ghana right now. I’ve been on this set for more than 20 years, and I’ve never slept with any lady. I have a mission on this earth just to do music,” he told Roselyn Felli, the show’s host, shaking his head when asked if he has ever kissed.

Darlington expressed his intention to remain celibate until marriage, noting that his new song is meant for those who have experienced romantic relationships and breakups. The song aims to encourage people to appreciate their past relationships despite ending them.

In addition, Darlington conveyed that he is not driven by awards or nominations. “I just want to make good music; people listen to my songs; I get to perform on shows; I get my money; and I create deals with people,” he said. He also expressed a belief that focusing heavily on awards can lead to emotional distress when they are not achieved.

Darlington, known for his hit song “Sika Aba Fie,” which translates to “Money Has Come Home,” maintains that his primary focus remains on creating impactful and timeless music.
