Francisca Owumi, the first runner-up of the inaugural season of Big Brother Naija in 2006, has sadly passed away.
Her family announced her passing on her Instagram page with a poignant message: “A daughter and sister.
May her soul rest in peace, Amen.”
According to reports, Owumi succumbed to a brief illness.
She was a beloved contestant on the reality show, remembered for her vibrant energy, captivating dance moves, and infectious personality.
Following her appearance on Big Brother Naija, Owumi pursued her passion for music, releasing two singles.
She also worked as a writer for an international magazine based in Ghana.
During her time on the reality show, Owumi competed alongside current show hosts Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Katung Aduwak, and Gideon Okeke, among others.
