Bole Community Unites to Combat Mysterious Deaths

Residents of Bole are living in fear due to a wave of mysterious murders that have claimed 22 lives since 2022. The victims’ families are traumatized, and movement at night has been restricted.

The latest victim, 65-year-old Yahaya Jajah, was found dead with his head chopped off at St Kizito Primary School.

His family is still reeling from the loss, with relatives describing him as the breadwinner who supported his seven children.

The community is worried and demands justice, with no arrests made so far. The police are struggling to find leads, but the community is coming together to support each other.

The Bole District Assembly has installed streetlights to enhance security and prevent further deaths. Member of Parliament Yussif Sulemana commended a local watchdog committee and pledged monthly support to aid their efforts.

A youth group, Concerned Citizens of Bole, staged a protest to demand an end to the killings. The Paramount Chief, Bolewura Kutugefeso, believes the perpetrators will soon be arrested, and the police presence has brought hope to residents.
