“I Was Down for a Whole Year Due to Spiritual Attack” – Kweku Darlington

Ghanaian rapper and songwriter Kweku Darlington has shed light on the personal and health struggles that led to his hiatus from the music scene. In a recent interview on JoyPrime TV, Darlington detailed the severe challenges he faced, which he attributes to a spiritual attack that had a profound impact on his life and career.

Darlington revealed that he experienced what he describes as a spiritual attack, which led to a significant health decline and a temporary halt in his music career. “I was down, I think last year, for a whole year. It was so bad for me. I had people… friends that turned into enemies. They tried to do me stuff. It went far to Juju and all that stuff. You weren’t hearing of me at the time. I couldn’t go out,” he explained.

According to Darlington, the illness resulted from a confrontation with two friends, leading to what he terms as being “buried spiritually.” He sought treatment from various hospitals and herbalists before finding solace and healing through his Christian fellowship in the Atwea Mountains, where he experienced divine intervention.

The “Sika Aba Fie” hitmaker shared that the spiritual ordeal not only affected his physical health but also drained his creative energy, making it difficult for him to produce new music during this challenging period.

Despite these obstacles, Kweku Darlington has made a comeback with a new single titled “S3 wo mpena dada no angyae wo a.” He expressed gratitude for overcoming the trials and emphasized that his inspiration for his music comes from interactions and conversations with people.
