I Cried for 3 Days After BBL, But It’s Worth It – Mercy Eke

Reality TV star Mercy Eke has revealed the physical and emotional hardships she endured following a butt lift surgery she underwent in 2018. In a candid interview on the Love is a Game show, Eke shared her personal journey and the factors that led her to choose the procedure.

Reflecting on her decision, Eke attributed her choice to societal trends and peer pressure prevalent at the time. “To be very truthful, at first, it was because of the trend. I did my body in 2018. I think at the time it was just the trend, maybe peer pressure; everyone was doing it. I had a beautiful, slim body, but my stomach was a little too big. I was scared. I didn’t tell my mum because I didn’t want anybody to discourage me, so it was me and two of my other friends. We just planned it, we paid, we did it together at the same time,” Eke disclosed.

Eke did not shy away from discussing the grueling recovery process that followed the surgery. She described the post-operative phase as intensely painful, particularly highlighting the discomfort of the necessary massages. “After the surgery, you get to have your body massaged, that’s the painful part. You can’t sleep on your butt for 14 days. You have to lay on your stomach. It was painful. You cry for three days, but it’s worth it,” she said.

In response to circulating rumors about additional cosmetic procedures, Eke clarified her position. Aside from the butt lift and minor nasal fillers, she confirmed that she has not undergone any further body augmentation.

Eke also took the opportunity to emphasize the importance of proper education regarding cosmetic procedures. She pointed out that there are many misconceptions about what liposuction involves. “My butt is the softest thing you will ever touch because it’s just fat; it’s like water,” she added.
