In a tragic early morning accident on Saturday, a head-on collision between an O.A. bus and a motorcycle resulted in the deaths of two people on the motorcycle.
The crash involved an O.A. bus, with registration number GT 5768-18, and a motorcycle bearing the number M-22-BA-2109.
Eyewitness Kofi Yeboah, driving a Toyota Rav4, reported that the O.A. bus, which was en route from Accra to Berekum, tried to overtake Yeboah’s vehicle near Amanfoso.
This maneuver led to a collision with Yeboah’s car before the bus struck the motorcycle head-on, causing the fatalities.
Bugri Elijah, the Sunyani Manager for O.A. buses, stated that passengers with minor injuries have been treated and sent home, while five others are still hospitalized.
He confirmed that the company is covering all medical expenses and urged motorists to exercise extra caution in the area known for frequent accidents.
