Otto Addo, head coach of the Black Stars, has announced his 26-man squad for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger, which will take place early next month.
The senior national team last convened in June, achieving consecutive victories over Mali and the Central African Republic in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The selected players are expected to report by the end of this week or early next week to begin preparations for the AFCON qualifiers, which will unfold across the next three international windows.
Coach Addo’s squad features familiar faces with no major surprises. Key players including Thomas Partey, Kudus Mohammed, Jordan Ayew, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku have all been retained.
Inaki Williams and Majeed Ashimeru make a return after missing the last fixtures, while Asante Kotoko’s Frederick Asare is the sole home-based player in the squad.
Captain Andre Ayew might be absent as he continues his search for a new club.
The Black Stars will kick off their 2025 AFCON qualifying campaign with a match against Angola on Thursday, September 5, at the Baba Yara Stadium, followed by a game against Niger four days later.
