Adams’ Goal Lifts Torino to Victory Over Atalanta

Che Adams scored his first goal for Torino to secure a 2-1 victory over Atalanta in Serie A.

The Scotland striker’s goal in the 49th minute proved decisive after Duvan Zapata’s shot was saved by Torino goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi.

Adams, who joined Torino from Southampton last month, made his first start for the club after appearing as a substitute in their previous match against AC Milan.

Mateo Retegui had given Atalanta the lead in the first half, but Torino leveled within five minutes through Ivan Ilic’s goal.

Atalanta missed a chance to equalize in stoppage time as Mario Pasalic’s penalty was saved.

In other Serie A matches, Napoli secured their first win under manager Antonio Conte with a 3-0 victory over Bologna. Giovanni di Lorenzo, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Giovanni Simeone scored for Napoli.

Empoli also celebrated a win, defeating Roma 2-1. Emmanuel Gyasi and Lorenzo Colombo scored for Empoli, while Eldor Shomurodov pulled one back for Roma.
