Dr. Nduom Asserts State Owes GH₵7.1 Billion

Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, Global President of Groupe Nduom, has once again claimed that the government owes him over GH₵7.1 billion, including interest.

Speaking at a press conference in Accra, Dr. Nduom stated, “Our calculations show that we are owed more than GH₵7.1 billion, including interest… They are aware of the debt, even though there might be disputes over the interest.”

Dr. Nduom also revealed plans to temporarily suspend his “Bring Back GN Bank” campaign in September to undertake a nationwide tour of the defunct bank’s 300 branches, following his earlier visit to the Northern region. The tour aims to gather support from petitioners pushing for the reinstatement of GN Bank’s license, which was revoked in 2019.

He plans to resume the campaign in November after a period of strategic planning.

In response, the Bank of Ghana (BoG) has recently defended its decision to revoke GN Bank’s license in 2019, citing serious regulatory violations. The Central Bank argued that GN Bank’s non-compliance with essential financial regulations and banking standards threatened its operational stability.
