The mystery behind the intriguing ‘The New False’ billboards has been revealed, and it’s none other than renowned comedian Lekzy DeComic. At a press conference held at Grand Casamora in East Legon, Accra, on Thursday, Lekzy DeComic was unveiled as the mastermind behind the artwork, putting to rest speculations that it could be a political figure.

With eleven years of experience in the comedy industry, Lekzy DeComic is gearing up for his latest stand-up comedy special, slated for September 28, 2024, at the UPSA Auditorium in Accra. The event, dubbed ‘The New False’, promises to be his biggest and most hilarious comedy event in the history of Ghana’s arts and pop culture.

According to Lekzy, ‘The New False’ comedy special aims to not only make people laugh but also highlight some of the pressing needs of the Ghanaian citizenry in a witty and non-provocative fashion. “We intend to douse the political tension in the country with humour,” he said.

Lekzy DeComic has won the hearts of many with his previous comedy specials, including ‘Too Cute to be Mute 1k’, ‘Too Cute to be Mute (Amplified Edition)’, and ‘CanPAIN MESSage.’ He has performed at high-profile events in Ghana and internationally, including the Bloemfontein International Comedy Festival and the Go Bananas Comedy Club USA.

His hard work has earned him several awards, including the Best Comedy Special award with ‘CanPAIN MESSage’ at the 2024 Ghana Comedy Awards. With ‘The New False’ comedy special, Lekzy DeComic is set to elevate his craft and Ghanaian stand-up comedy to new heights.
