Lost Boy Found Alive in Vietnamese Forest

A six-year-old boy who went missing in Vietnam’s northwestern Yen Bai province for five days has been found safe.

Dang Tien Lam wandered into the hills while playing in a stream with his siblings on August 17.

Local farmers discovered Lam sitting in cassava bushes about 6 kilometers from where he went missing.

Weakened by hunger and thirst, he was unable to stand. Lam survived by eating leaves, wild fruits, and drinking stream water.

The news sparked relief on social media, with many congratulating Lam’s family and thanking the search team for their efforts.

Local authorities mobilized over 150 people, including police officers, soldiers, and volunteers, to search for the young boy.

Police described Lam’s survival as a miracle.

The child told farmers that he became lost and unable to find his way home.
