Leicester City have secured an agreement to sign Jordan Ayew from Crystal Palace for a reported £8 million.
The 32-year-old Ghanaian forward is expected to undergo a medical with Leicester City to complete the transfer process.
Ayew has been an integral part of Crystal Palace since joining on loan in August 2018 and making the move permanent in July 2019. Throughout his time at Selhurst Park, he made 212 appearances, scored 23 goals, and provided 22 assists in various competitions. His consistent performance has been a key asset for the Eagles.
Despite his previous contributions, Jordan Ayew’s role at Crystal Palace has diminished under new manager Oliver Glasner, with the forward recently starting on the bench during Palace’s 2-1 loss to Brentford.
Leicester City, newly promoted to the Premier League, are eager to bring Ayew’s experience and versatility into their squad. The Foxes began their season with a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur and are optimistic that Ayew’s arrival will bolster their attacking options.
Although Ayew received interest from Saudi Arabian clubs this summer, he is now set to make a permanent move to Leicester City.
