Bono Region Receives 99 Road Construction Equipment

The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Madam Justina Owusu Banahene, has handed over 99 road construction equipment to 12 municipal and district assemblies (MDAs) under the District Road Improvement Program (DRIP).
This initiative aligns with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s commitment to equitable development.
The equipment includes tipper trucks, graders, black holes, water tankers, rollers, wheel loaders, bulldozers, low beds, and concrete mixers.
The minister emphasized the importance of proper training, storage, monitoring, and maintenance to ensure the equipment’s longevity.
Zoomlion Ghana Limited has pledged its support to maintain the machines through training and mobile service vans.
A collaboration with the 48 Engineering Regiment will also ensure security and disciplined use of the equipment.
The Bono Regional Manager of Zoomlion, Mr. Emmanuel Abasiya, announced plans to establish equipment assembly plants in all regions by the end of the year, creating job opportunities.
The ceremony was attended by 12 Municipal and District Chief Executives, MPs, departmental heads, and party faithful.
