King Paluta Reacts to Church Congregation Singing His Song ‘Makoma’

Ghanaian artist King Paluta has responded to a viral video showing a church congregation dancing to his new track, “Makoma.” The video, which was posted on X by user EdHub, captures a vibrant church service where the congregation is seen enthusiastically singing and dancing to the song.

In a light-hearted reaction, King Paluta commented, “Make nobody write apology letter come again o.” This remark refers to a previous situation involving Rev. Father Peter Kusi Twumasi, Acting Rector of St. Stephen Rectorate in Bodomase, Ashanti Region, who had apologized for leading his congregation in singing King Paluta’s earlier hit, “Aseda,” during a church service.

The earlier video, which featured the congregation joyously participating in the song, had generated a range of responses. The priest later clarified that his intention was not to disrespect Catholic Church traditions by including a secular song in a sacred environment but rather to share in the joy of the moment.
