- Powers struggles to come to terms with TB Joshua's sudden death, citing God's mysterious ways
Ghanaian boxer Ayitey Powers has disclosed that the death of Nigerian televangelist and philanthropist TB Joshua had a more profound impact on him than the loss of his own parents.
In a recent interview with TV3, Ayitey Powers opened up about his close relationship with the late prophet and the plans they had made together. He recounted that before TB Joshua’s unexpected passing, the prophet had extended an invitation for him to visit his church.
Ayitey Powers admitted that he postponed the visit and later received the news of TB Joshua’s death with shock and disbelief. Reflecting on the loss, he shared, “Sometimes when I think about his death, I realize that God works in mysterious ways. How could Prophet TB Joshua die at that age? He called me to visit his church, but I delayed, and he passed away.
He mentioned he wouldn’t celebrate his birthday, and we didn’t know he was going to die. If I had known, we discussed many things together. So, TB Joshua’s death hurts me more than the death of my mother and father.”
