- He stressed the importance of making a well-considered voting decision
- Duncan-Williams emphasized that he is carefully evaluating his options
Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, the presiding Archbishop and General Overseer of Action Chapel International Ministry, has revealed that he will not support the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) in the upcoming December 7, 2024 general elections.
In a recent video message shared on the social media platform X, the influential preacher expressed his intention to make a thoughtful and strategic choice with his vote this election season.
He emphasized the importance of making an informed decision, stating, “If you truly care about this country, this is an election that demands careful consideration. I will not be casting my vote for the CPP this time; instead, I will vote with wisdom and conscience, choosing the option that I believe will benefit Ghana.”
While he did not disclose his preferred candidate or party, Archbishop Duncan-Williams urged voters to prioritize the nation’s welfare over personal interests. “I won’t reveal my choice, but I am evaluating my options carefully. It is crucial that our votes contribute positively to Ghana’s future.”
With the December 7 elections approaching, the contest is expected to be fiercely competitive, particularly between the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The NPP aims to secure an unprecedented third consecutive term, while the NDC seeks to reclaim power and avoid another eight-year stint in opposition. The outcome remains highly anticipated.
