Ghana Needs Better Leaders – Bawah Mogtari

Joyce Bawah Mogtari, special aide to the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has described the NDC as a party of innovations and inclusivity. She emphasized the party’s commitment to embracing new ideas and involving all Ghanaians in the decision-making process. Mogtari extended an invitation to all Ghanaians to join the NDC as they launch their manifesto this weekend. She encouraged citizens to be part of the party’s vision for a better Ghana.

The NDC officially announced that it would launch its 2024 manifesto on Saturday, August 24, at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Auditorium of the University of Education, Winneba. The event promises to be a significant milestone in the party’s campaign for the upcoming elections. The Flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, will be the Special Guest of the occasion, and his presence is expected to galvanize support for the party. Mahama’s leadership and vision for Ghana will be highlighted during the launch.

This comes at a time when the New Patriotic Party (NPP) launched their manifesto in Takoradi on Sunday, August 18. The NPP’s manifesto launch was attended by high-profile party members, including Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. Koku Anyidoho, a political commentator, criticized the NDC for allowing the ruling government to launch their manifesto first. He questioned the NDC’s strategy and readiness for the elections.

During the launch of the NPP manifesto, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia re-stated his passionate commitment to turn Ghana into a digital hub of Africa. He emphasized the need to leverage technology for inclusive economic growth and job creation. Bawumia’s vision includes training one million Ghanaians in IT skills and providing digital and software skills to hundreds of thousands of youth. He also aims to eliminate the digital divide by achieving close to 100% internet penetration.

The NPP’s manifesto highlights the party’s focus on digitalization, education, and economic growth. The party promises to enhance the positioning of the education system towards STEM, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and vocational skills. The launch of the NDC manifesto is expected to outline the party’s vision and policies for Ghana’s development. The event will be an opportunity for the party to showcase its innovative and inclusive approach to governance.
