Tottenham Hotspur has officially announced that midfielder Oliver Skipp will be joining newly promoted Leicester City.

The 23-year-old academy product is set to make the move to the King Power Stadium for a fee in excess of £20 million.

Skipp’s departure marks the end of a successful tenure at Tottenham, where he progressed through the club’s youth ranks and established himself as a valuable member of the first-team squad.

The England Under-21 international made his Premier League debut in October 2018 and has since amassed 77 appearances in the top flight.

At Leicester, Skipp will reunite with former Tottenham teammate Harry Winks and become the Foxes’ fifth summer signing as they prepare for their return to the Premier League.

His arrival will bolster Leicester’s midfield options and provide a much-needed boost to their squad ahead of the new season.

The transfer is expected to be finalized following a medical on Monday, with Skipp set to join his new teammates for pre-season training.

Tottenham fans will be eager to see how the club addresses the void left by Skipp’s departure, as they aim to build on their recent progress under manager Ange Postecoglou.
