A Palestinian man, Rashid Sedda, 22, was shot dead by Israeli settlers in the village of Jit, West Bank, overnight .
The settlers, some wearing masks, attacked the village, setting fire to houses and cars, and throwing rocks and Molotov cocktails.
The Palestinian health ministry condemned the incident as “organised state terrorism.” The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) arrested one settler and is investigating the reports of a fatality.
This incident is the latest in a series of attacks by extremist settlers on Palestinian villages in the West Bank, which has seen a surge in violence since the October 7 attack by Hamas on Israel and the subsequent war in Gaza.
